Ran to Aspen yesterday! Well, mostly. There’s still a decent amount of snow so there was also some walking and route-finding. Trail is about 80% clear but that other 20% was a lot easier than imagined. It felt great to be back at work with West Maroon Shuttle! Hikers want their cars brought around, so we go by foot one way and drive their cars around the other way. . 1: Maroon Bells, from Maroon Lake . 2: Looking toward Aspen, from West Maroon Pass . 3: The Crested Butte side, from West Maroon Pass . 4: The marmot smuggler himself, aka Joe Weber, dropping off the pass . 5: Emerald Lake (CB side) full of ice and avalanche debris . 6: Now I know that Glacier Lillies are edible! . 7: The Bells again, with a sweet pine frame . #trailrunning #maroonbells #maroonlake #westmaroonpass #maroonbellsshuttles #glacierlily #emeraldlake #hiking #crestedbutte #aspen #hikingcolorado #hikeco
