This autumn has been pretty interesting in Crested Butte. September left and brought with it the colorful days and warm nights, along with the travelers – a package deal. October kicked off with lows in the twenties, as if the seasons changed overnight, and snow surprised us within the first week of the month. Luckily, the autumn foliage was still on its way out when the first snow fell this week. I found time one morning to capture some moments around the neighborhood while I waited for the ground to thaw and the outside temperature to rise to more ideal working conditions. Truthfully, I was a bit late to work because it was so beautiful outside and I was feeling pretty trigger-happy.
